Time to get caught up

It’s true! I (meaning my parents) have been really bad about posting stuff on my blog. I just looked, and I (meaning my parents) haven’t posted a thing since the middle of May! What was I (meaning my parents) thinking?!?!?! Tons of great stuff has happened since May! I can’t believe I (meaning my parents) am so far behind. I’m going to fill you in on what’s been going on and try to be a bit better about posting. It’s a new year! One of my resolutions is that I (meaning my parents) will be better about this.

Here’s the last 7 months in a nutshell....

1. In June we moved out into the country. We are all really loving it!!! There is a lot of room to run and play and get dirty. It’s every kids dream!! That’s right...I’m living the dream!

1. Lots of playing and wrestling happens in a house full of boys!!! Poor Mommy! Tytus, Daddy, and I sure do have lots of fun and we make Mommy laugh a lot.

1. Halloween with my cousins. Tytus was Thing 1 and I was Thing 2.
Pretty fitting if you ask me.

1. For Thanksgiving, we loaded up the Tahoe and drove all the way to West Palm Beach, FL to visit Aunt KatKat and Uncle Nathan. We had so much fun! The road trip was a blast. Tytus and I watched lots of movies and we got to stay in hotels and jump on the beds. Once we got to FL we went to the beach, went to a zoo, had a delicious Thanksgiving, went swimming on Thanksgiving night and had a great time with Aunt KatKat and Uncle Nathan. I think we may have to make that a yearly event. It was soooooooooo much fun!!!!

1. I turned 2 years old on Dec. 2!!!! How could I (meaning my parents) have possibly forgotten to blog about that?!?!?! I TURNED 2!!!! It was a fun birthday bash! I am so thankful for all my family and friends that came to help me celebrate.

1. Christmas!!! We had a wonderful Christmas! We celebrated with Grammy and Papa a few days before and then we went up to Hereford, TX and spent Christmas with BB, Papa, Tim, Bobbie, Keely, Zack, Kada, R.J., and Sarah. We had a great time and even though we weren’t at home, Santa found us!!!!

1. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope all of you had a great 2010 and I hope you have a WONDERFUL 2011!!! I (meaning my parents) am going to try to do a better job about blogging for me this year. My life is exciting and I’ll try to make sure and share it with all of you.

I sure am glad we have this little pool in our backyard. It’s a great setup and Tytus and I have so much fun playing together. This is usually where you can find us right after lunch or right after dinner. I could hang out here all day, but my parents won’t let me. For some reason they think I need to eat and sleep as well as splash. CRAZY! Parents...they just don’t understand.

Play hard. Sleep hard.

I’m one worn out kid today. Tytus and I have been playing and playing and playing, and yes, that’s right, MORE playing!! I’m at that stage where I don’t always need a morning nap, but I start falling asleep before Mommy wants to put me down for my afternoon nap. Today I was so sleepy, I fell asleep sitting up on the couch. Play hard. Sleep hard. That’s what this little Burkhalter boy does.

Did I do that?!

Who did that?! Who made that mess?! Who would have done such a thing?! Oh...it was me! I have discovered that it’s so much fun to dump all the toys out of our toy bucket and into the middle of the living room floor. Once I’ve dumped it, I leave the toys alone and I climb into the bucket. The bucket is so much fun to play in!!! I just love doing this until Mommy tells me it’s clean-up time. Ummmmm.....Tytus did it!!!!!

Little Cabin...on the porch

This little cabin may not be in the woods, but I sure do love playing in it. It’s always so much fun going over to The Casey’s house. Gabe and I always have a great time playing in their little log cabin, and this evening was no different. We had dinner with them at their house tonight and we got to meet their new baby, Mitch. He’s teeny tiny and we all had to be really careful with him. Soon enough he’ll be playing in the cabin with me and Gabe.
